Essential information for everyoneUse the following links to download the 'normal.dot' template, depending on whether you are using Mac or Windows, and whether you need to file to self-extract or not. You can use this template in Microsoft Word for Windows or Mac OS. Use the Tools menu, then Templates and Add-ins. Here you can select the template normal.dot downloaded above. What does this file do for me?The template forms the basis of a simple onscreen editing technique that is integrated into your normal operation with Microsoft Word. A list of stylenames are built-in to the template. These stylenames are assigned to the author's text to achieve the desired formatting result. The stylenames are designed for onscreen editors to be simple and expandable. They are used by the typesetter to maximise the efficiency of the production process.
